"I began an MBA program intending to eventually become a library director. The first course I took was an introductory accounting course, similar to MBA 601, and that was all it took to convince me to quit my job and go back to school full-time to get the courses I would need to sit for the CPA exam."

  • What advice would you give to those considering the online MBA program?

    First, determine whether the online delivery system will work for you. Then get as much information about the program and the university as possible. Is the university AACSB accredited? Will full-time faculty be teaching the courses? How long will it take to complete the program? How much flexibility is there in the curriculum for students who might need to take a break from coursework? Are courses synchronous or non-synchronous? Is there a residency requirement?

  • What is the one book you think everyone should read?

    I don't think there is one book everyone should read. Books touch different people in different ways at different times in their lives.

  • Tell us something interesting about yourself that your students may not know.

    My first career was as a medical reference librarian. I began an MBA program intending to eventually become a library director. The first course I took was an introductory accounting course, similar to MBA 601, and that was all it took to convince me to quit my job and go back to school full-time to get the courses I would need to sit for the CPA exam.
