What do you want students to take away from your classes? What do you want them to learn?
Students need to understand the role of marketing for organizations in the new economy. We examine topics of customer intimacy, customer relationship management, brand development, research, integrated marketing communications and more.
What is the value of an MBA?
I am a big fan of continuous learning. To be successful in the future everyone needs to prepare themselves for continuous change and evolution. An MBA is a very good start.
Why did you start teaching?
I've always been a person that enjoyed the interaction of a classroom environment, either in person or online, and the learning that takes place in that setting. After I received my second master's degree, I thought a logical next step would be one of teaching.
What advice would you give to those considering the online MBA program?
An online MBA program requires discipline. It requires skills that we all will need in the future – skills such as, online collaboration, online communication and they ability to manage a team in various locations.
What qualities make someone particularly successful in business?
Hard work and a positive attitude will always beat those with talent.
What is the one book you think everyone should read?
Read the Wall Street Journal every day.
